Amateur Radio License Exam Information
Listening to Amateur Radio is Free, to Broadcast you have to have a license!

Federal law generally prohibits radio broadcasts without a license issued by the FCC. Anyone found operating a radio station without FCC authorization can be subject to a variety of enforcement actions, including seizure of equipment, fines and other civil and criminal penalties.

The NF4J/South Alabama VE Team gives Amateur Radio exams on the 2ND Saturday of every month. If you are attempting an upgrade, please bring a signed copy of your current license and a current I.D.. All **new comers need only a photo identification with your current residential address. Test Fee's are $5 for Everyone. Please Pay Test Fee's in Cash Only (Correct change Please), Checks are No longer Accepted.

Testing begins PROMPTLY at 9:00AM SHARP!!... the testing location is:

When: 2ND Saturday of Every Month, EXCEPT for months of Hamfests and Tailgators...The Team will test at those events.
